Your One-Stop Biopsy Clinic

Wherever you are coming from, everything is handled by our clinic: the ultrasound exam, the ultrasound-guided biopsy, a preliminary diagnosis, the final diagnostic interpretation, and arrangements for any testing needed after the biopsy. It is a one-stop service for all your biopsy needs, with one team to contact from start to finish. Your biopsy is performed by Dr. Ahsan Siddiqi, a board-certified pathologist, who also examines the cells under the microscope during your visit.

Biopsies We Perform

Each is done under local anesthesia and does not require stitches. Read how a fine needle aspiration biopsy works.

Your Visit, Step by Step

  1. Exam: Dr. Siddiqi reviews your concern and examines the area.
  2. Ultrasound: the nodule or lump is located and evaluated.
  3. Biopsy: after numbing, ultrasound guides the needle, and usually two to three samples are taken.
  4. Microscope review: the sample is checked while you are still at the clinic.
  5. Preliminary results: discussed with you before you leave.

The procedure takes about 30 minutes, followed by about 15 minutes of observation, and most people go back to their usual day afterward.

Local anesthesia is used to numb the area, and most patients report only mild discomfort.
